Helen and Ed’s first dates during lockdown in 2021 were on the trails! Pubs and clubs were closed, but luckily, in Bristol, you’re never further than a 10-minute jog from great trails in nature. Running together gave us the chance to connect without pressure (other than keeping up the pace, of course!), and the rest is history. 

As active social beings, we also love to party! Helen’s background includes stints running pubs and Michelin-starred restaurants, whilst Ed’s career in music covers many bases, from programming the DJs at Shangri-La Glastonbury, managing the world’s biggest house and techno artists, to promoting Sunday club sessions at legendary London venue The End. Heck, he’s even appeared on Top of the Pops! 

Together, they’ve spent most of the last decade heading up Ravers2Runners alongside Jo, the inspirational founder. Ed used his connections to bring Ravers2Runners to Glastonbury, where the Bristol run crew has become infamous for leading hundreds of runners around the festival site live on TV and radio! The success of this world first led the crew to host organised runs at; Boomtown, Amsterdam Dance Event, Love Saves The Day, Forwards, Love Trails and more special events, raising tens of thousands pounds for charities such as Greenpeace and Caring in Bristol alongside building a strong reputation, network and community that’s inspired many others to take this blueprint and run with it! 

It’s these amazing experiences that have created the genesis of FORM Festival of Running & Music: beautiful natural spaces where the yin and yang of running and dancing at the same event will forge amazing human connections between friends of all ages, genders and backgrounds. Balance and blow out in equal measure! 

Helen and Ed welcome fun-loving runners of all abilities and experience to our first weekend campout. We’ve kept the capacity limited and created a programme of optional activities designed to bring everyone together - be that on the trail, at the table or on the dancefloor of course!
